Grading Tool Tutorial

Objective: Students will be able to use formulas and functions in excel to automatically calculate percentages.


Launch:
Review your assignment grades using the print out provided. You will input this information into your spreadsheet.


Your goal is to create a spreadsheet for keeping track of your class grade. To accomplish this, you will need to use a division formula and a sum function. Please follow along with the presentation. If you miss class or fall behind, use the self-guided tutorial below to review the process.

Sub Plans

Block 1 & 6: Come up with a survey question to poll the class about. Choose something simple like “How old are you?” or “What is your favorite color?” Keep a tally of the answers that people give you. Put that data into Excel and make a chart of it.

Block 3: Finish any notes or questions you haven’t completed from chapter 5-7. Make 15 flashcards to study from. Watch the video below and take notes on how a bill becomes a law.

Doctor’s orders: I’m going to be staying home and resting for the rest of the week. Friday’s tests are postponed until I return. In the meantime, please continue to be on your best behavior for the substitute. I had a good report yesterday and I would like that to continue.
