D.C. Hess is an educator in Oakland, California. Teaching experience includes: English grades 9-11, World History, World History AP, US History, and Government/Economics. Writing curriculum for an introductory survey course on basic computing this year. Total of five years experience: 3 years in charter and 2 years in public school. Currently serving as department chair of Social Studies at LPS College Park and webmaster of LPSCollegePark.org. Advocate for assessment driven curriculum and data driven pedagogy.
